Summary of "Enlarged Europe: transitional limitations with regard to immigration."
The nationals of the new EU member countries will not immediately have the right to move to the territory of the old fifteen members in order to work there. France, for example, has decided to apply restrictive measures for a period of five years. Quite evidently, this policy has direct implications for the professional concerned with impatriation. In the present article, L’Élan is thus focusing on the concrete impact of the enlarged Europe on immigration and related administrative issues. The article will pay attention also to the key provisions of the latest Community Directive concerning the nationals of non-EU member countries, and their admission to the status of residents.
